Nodding Texas Yucca

Nodding Texas Yucca (Yucca cernua) is a newly discovered Yucca species from the Big Thicket of east Texas. This is a rare and beautiful plant. It has gorgeous blue-green foliage and, once mature, blooms in spring with a huge 8 to 10 foot tall flower spike of large ivory-white flowers. In habitat, it grows in the dappled shade of the tall Loblolly pines (Pinus taeda), making it useful for partial shade growing conditions where the soil is infertile and fast draining. Water regularly for best growth. Grown via tissue culture from garden plants, not collected from the wild.
